The believe that the brain is hard wired to link numbers and space may not be true.

Is our ability to map numbers onto a physical space – such as along a line – a cultural invention rather than an innate ability? Members of a remote tribe in Papua New Guinea understand the concept of numbers but do not map them along a line, which suggests that the 'number line' must be learned.

Guam Confirms Number of Participants to Festival

Solomon Islands will be receiving a 150 member delegation of Guam artists and performers to participate in the 11th Festival of Pacific Arts in Honiara, Solomon Islands this July 1 - 14.

The 150 member delegation was decided by the Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities, a division of the Department of Chamorro Affairs in cooperation with the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts Coordinating Committee.
